An emerging artist working predominantly in the medium
of painting, favouring oil and metallic leaf.
She is guided equally by a love of light and form,
personal historical recollection and delights in the interpretation of twisted
German fairy tales.
Once upon a time, Karin attended the Ontario College
of Art, General Studies Program (Foundation Studies and Year 1 & 2 General
Studies Program). After waking from a deep artistic slumber, she developed her
re-emerging skills through various life drawing sessions as well as intensive
workshops coordinated through Sherman J. Studies. Karin is now an active member
of “Local Colour Aurora”, a collective based in Aurora, Ontario headed jointly
by artists Judy Sherman and Eva Folks. She has participated in several group
shows, and most recently participated as a member of the “Fragments Collective”
at the MacKendrick Community Gallery, the “Hillary House – 150 Years
Celebration” as well as the “Town of Aurora Art Show and Sale”.
